So watching the Pacers play on this in-season tournament floor reminded me of a question I wanted to ask.
During a recent men's basketball game that was followed by a women's volleyball game, the announcer mentioned they needed time between events to change out the floor. I hadn't noticed until then that there were no volleyball court lines on the basketball floor.
My knowledge of floor technology is lacking. Does anyone know what this entails?
Do they just put down and take up the lines for volleyball? That seems laborious.
Do they actually have sections of the floor or a different floor that they change out? That seems expensive.

They put down tape for volleyball. They also have to move the basketball stanchions and put the net poles in the floor. It takes a couple hours.
The floor is not sectioned, it’s installed as one unit.
