Waste of time. Unless something is done to introduce some parity amongst teams. What's the point of Ball State playing Georgia? Let the G5 separate, operate as a true student-athlete model, and have their own championship. Let the "power programs" run theirs as a professional league (which they are now). I have about the same desire to watch Ball State play Georgia as I do to watch Ball State play Wabash College. What's the point?

The Ball State Wabash game would be very competitive. Enjoyable to watch.

I think the 12-team playoff will keep the G5 relevant. If a G5 can win the first round game every few years, CFB playoff keeps Cinderella alive. I also think the portal has allowed us to get some higher ranked kids and help us close the gap to mid-level P5 teams.
