With the current situation in the NCAA (meaning NIL payments and unlimited transfers), will Ball State ever produce a player in football, basketball, baseball or possibly any other sport who will create a resume worthy of being inducted into the university's hall of fame?
Or will we be relegated to inducting coaches and championship teams? Or perhaps we'll just stoop down and induct someone like Jaylin Seller after he moves on to a bigger program or maybe even a pro career because he once spent 2 winters in Muncie?

Ha. I was going to say Charity Griffith and then saw that she “portaled out” to bluergrass pastures after last year.

There's always that hope for anyone who can make that level of impact as an individual athlete. Just not that many individual sports.

Rather than having fantastic multi-year careers at BSU, most will be one and dones, not worthy of HOF consideration.

Time to make the Hall of Shame where we induct really good players who leave for money.

I could see a time where transfers and NIL muddy up the water enough that we could induct that “Bane guy” into our HoF 🤔

If BSU isn't at least their last stop, then they don't get into the HOF. Period.

Definitely will be harder. There will still be players in sports that have professional opportunities (football, basketball, and baseball), who will complete good but not HOF caliber BSU careers but will later improve their HOF stock dramatically with respectable pro careers.

Check out Henry the gymnast who scored 9.975 on the vault. Some of these girls will stick around. No place to really transfer. If you haven't checked them out the gymnastics team is really good. Defeating power 5 schools.
