Collier has made Butler a non-transitory, non-stepping stone place of athletic employment.

I think I told you guys about the time I saw Brad Stevens at LaBamba in Broad Ripple and tried to talk him into leaving Butler and coming to BSU. I didn't realize at first the other guy at the table was Barry Collier...AWKWARD!

Not that any of us thought you were a spring chicken, Sherm, but you sure did date yourself by saying you spotted someone at La Bamba in Broad Ripple. I can only guess you stopped in there to use their rotary phone to call Blockbuster Video.

Oh I could date myself a lot further back using the LaBamba dating method by telling you stories from the LaBamba in the village. The Broad Ripple LaBamba far outlasted the village LaBamba.
I could you young uns stories all day long about the chorizo tacos that dripped fluorescent orange grease and were the best tacos I ever had.

Who else remembers the mural on the wall at the village LaBambas? It was a subject from a long-gone era. It involved the concept of a basketball "rival" which is something now beyond our ken.
