Lower mid majors continually try to emulate the Big Boy conferences and annually prevent their best team from going to the NCAA tournament while providing entertainment to a few hundred fans and providing a weeks worth of partying and hob knobbing for the conference administrators

Can you eliminate the tourney and send your number 1? If so, I bet the schools wouldn't support it because they wouldn't get their shot if they didn't win the season outright.
