I'll buy "could have been better" and yet Bailey, Anderson and Middleton did a lot of good things, and we'll assess Watts this season, I won't say Lewis failed when he had a player suffer injury.
Not a great job, but not "very poor" either. Mid majors losing their best talent aren't exactly favorites to replace that.
His first year he grabbed two players late when he was well stocked at guard, I had low expectations there. No surprise. He did recruit and hold most of the talent who were in the portal.
