Yes, lets waste our day 1 and 2 pitchers on a midweek non conference game. If you can't figure out why we did NOT do that and threw scrubs, well, I can't help ya. We're in the thick of the play off drive now. (currently 5th, recovering after a really bad start). We've been hot in the MAC. We have the most overall wins of any MAC team. But, go ahead and wait till we play a mostly meaningless non conf game to jump back on here to bash Maloney. That's a really good look for you.

Are we .500 in the MAC yet??
I’ll listen to your excuses when we win the MAC tourney (if we make it), and then actually win our first game under Maloney’s 19 year reign in the NCAA tourney.

BSU does not have the pitching depth of past years and must focus on the MAC. |

If you are recruiting a pitcher, it might even be an asset, as you can show the recruit where the talent level seems to drop off, thus creating an early opportunity for him to get on the field. Look at the top 25 from last year compared to this year. See a big difference? Absolutely not. They are called successful programs.
This is.Maloney’s 19th year. They should be reloading not rebuilding into the 19th year.

I saw it when he coached our team like a little league daddy when his kid was on it, and then the kids hiring as an assistant head coach. What experience does he have for that title? Playing one year in the lowest league for the White Sox and then getting cut? The only reason he received that chance is I’m sure daddy made a phone call. It’s the same bullshit in football with the Lynch’s and it needs to stop. Oh, and in his 19th year he has Ball State all the way up to #149 as of 4/19. C’mon man. |

Perhaps Chup could cough up the money to pay assistants for the program so that Rich can actually pay someone. Alex was a good player for us, good enough to get a pro shot. Alex was affordable AND has proven to be a damn good recruiter. My understanding is he convinced Hallquist to pick us. Hallquist was a beast before and is now for us and very likely has a future as a pro. Seems to be a pretty good deal for the program.
And also, so sorry you or your kid got butthurt by Rich….. (and he’s not the first nor will be the last coach/ceo/whatever to hire family, like it or not). Stop being so infantile.

I ,and many other alumni I know who have gotten to the point where they no longer give a shit about Ball U’s below average performance, are just fed up witnessing this crap and continuing to be embarrassed.
I guess they have the right mentality, just don’t give a damn.it’s clear some of the regulars on this board don’t have the balls to scream for necessary change.

I doubt it's happened and if Rich was fired 4 or 5 MAC teams would hire him in a second. If you're comparing the baseball program since 2013 to say the last 22 years of BSU basketball or last decade minus 2020 of football you've missed the boat. |
