It is totally unfair for us to play 4 games & WMU to have only played 2 games so their 3rd best pitcher pitches against our 5th. They should send the regular season champion or have the 2 best teams play. Yes the 4 team tourney made lots more sense with the regular season champ hosting. Playing in Avon,OH benefits only Kent. Win during the regular season. Get the bye. Never let yourself get into to losers bracket. |

I agree. For the MAC why not reward your season champion with a trip to the NCAA. We are not going to be players for the national title. If we were it would most likely be the team that was best most of the year barring major injuries late. I really detest conference tournaments for our league.

Some value in motivating teams to play hard, develop after a bad start. Flip side it rewards talented teams who sleep walk through season, turn it on late.
That's worse in basketball where the post season is the bright lights.
