As she plays more she will be more relaxed when first in the game. She launches them really early in her minutes on the floor. Will let the game come to her as she did when she hit those shots. I am looking foward for a blizzard of 3s when Bischoff, Becki and Kingery all are having a hot hand. That'll be fun to watch. |

Cards hold off UNI 76-70. UNI ranked 12th in Mid-major poll.
Cards struggled from the 3 but made 90% of their FT’s (26-29)

UNI was the best team that w e have played so far. Mcdermott put on a clinic with her 3pt shooting. she scored 27. We know how to win. We must take care of the ball better. The passes that we made in our first 3 games were ok but today we were playing a good defensive team requiring us to make sharp crisp passes. Austin made two really bad inbound passes that could have cost us the game. We spread the floor and opened up things and scored. We did finally out rebound them. Very proud of the team with a very difficult win. This game was great in preparing us for North Carolina. Glad to see Bischoff get some playing time. Think she scored about 6 free throws.

Looking forward to seeing Ball State play a big time school like North Carolina. Brady is an incredible coach and will have the Cardinals ready. A win would give BSU national recognition in women’s basketball. If there has ever been a year BSU could pull of a win of such magnitude this is the year! Go Cards!

Well N. Carolina has some size a 6-5, 6-4 and 6-3 They got down about 20 to UConn but came back and made a respectable game of it. Both teams left the wings a mile wide open and hit their 3s. Some big ifs here. Rebound, limit their second chance points, disrupt their game flow with solid defense, and hit our 3s to open up our post players. We could really get blown out or make a very interesting game of it. I don't think NC is really getting hyped to play us and probably equates us with the little sisters of the poor. Balll State should be #1 when the new Mid Major poll comes out as Gonzaga has lost big in two of their games however it could be South Dakota State( a home game for us) who beat Wisconsin. SD can play with anybody. I think after the 3 teams we will play in Atlantis S.Dakota comes in at #4. Oh our passing game must be really solid and crisp.Biscoff is back and by January should be all the way back. With this tough non conference schedule we should really be good in conference play. Becki is being double teamed but if others start hitting their 3s this might stop.

In the few minutes she's played this year, she looked like she needs time to develop. The bright side is there's few better coaches in the country that can properly coach and develop players than Brady Sallee. |

We got N. Carolina where we want them. We are given a 14.7% chance of winning by ESPN. Tessa hardly played at Wisconsin but seems to have soft hands/touch. Needs more coaching and playing time. Her defense and blocking out for rebounds needs some work but a 6-5 woman post player no matter her ability is a problem for any team she plays. I believe in conference play she will be more of a factor. Teams have to contend with Alex and Marie and then we give them a break by putting in a6-5 center ouch.

Northern Iowa tonight plays Iowa State who is ranked. 7pm ESPN+ We have an extremely tough schedule and could be on a serious losing streak or not. We play 3 tough games at Atlantis then South Dakota State, Davidson and Ohio State.

Poor outside shooting vs UNC in the Bahamas. I'm not going to blast them too much to lose to a team that would run away with the MAC though as the 1st loss this yr. They're still 3 tiers ahead of mens basketball at BSU and off to a strong sheet. Would be nice to occasionally steal upsets because it would open up opportunities for a possible at large bid so everything wasn't make or break in Cleveland every season. |
