I still don't understand how Buff beat NIU & Toledo, nonetheless I think this is one we can win.

last 3 opponents are ranked 101, 100, 96 and we DID beat #134 at home by 2 points. Neu needs to run the table. The tension will be enormous

Failed play selection in the red zone will continue to plague us as Kelly is stuffed on the play everyone knows while two of our big backs rest on the bench. At some point in the game our play calling just chokes and continues our failure to close out games this shit has been going on for more than a number of years. Just stating what everyone has already known and said. No we are not going to win not because of the players but because of unimaginative play calling in the red zone.

I'll just say the players deserve better. They've busted their asses to improve, especially the defense. The offense remains hamstrung by horrible play calling, both in selection and in timing of plays called, and will remain so. We're great from the 20 to the 20. Inside both 20's we just totally freeze up because of forced attempts, both in using Kelly in the wildcat, and in having blinders on for Koziol. (with good reason, but, Semonza has got to use more of the field and more of the weapons) Pemberton had a walk in TD if Kaiel had just given him the ball. Instead it was another failed run that lead to a FG. If we're gonna take our QB off in the redzone can we at least have something more dynamic to run with Kelly? Something with different options from what the entire free and unfree world knows is coming. Against Miami we were very successful running the ball on one drive and then got stupid in the red zone and never really worked to reestablish that ground game the rest of the way. I want a high flying offense but, when we forget the running game it doesn't work. Semonza was getting serious pressure all game and didn't handle it well. How bout take some of that pressure off by using our very capable backs more?

Lembo will run circles around Neu, and take great pride in doing so. I predict pain for the visitors from Muncie.

How bout take some of that pressure off by using our very capable backs more? Preach it! Cardfan, let me give you an example of how right you are: Sloan has averaged 4.1 yards a carry this season and Pemberton 5.3 yards a carry...Kelly 2.8...so you have all the data you need right in front of you to know that you have two stud backs and an elite 3rd down tight end who will allow you to control the clock and get you first-downs (a la NIU who had the 3rd ranked rushing defense in the country). But in the next game you INSIST on handing the ball off to a kid who refuses to follow blocks (film doesn't lie), doesn't run as hard as the other two guys (film really doesn't lie) and you do this most often in the Red Zone! But Kelly's our best athlete they say and is most likely to spring a big run...that's wrong, too because the longest runs of the year have come from Sloan (40 yards) and Pemberton (41 yards). I said it early in the season and I'll say it again: this staff has routinely failed these players with piss-poor preparation and stubbornness that walks right up to the line of being stupid. Whatever patience I have with Neu evaporates when I see bad play-calling, poor clock management, catering the offense to individual players, and allowing for selfish football from others. Flat-out inexcusable.

Flat-out inexcusable. Sad, but so true. I would also that his speed up offense is an absolute failure. Every time they have used it the failed!!! How many times do you do these failed plays until sou learn it does not work! This staff does not learn!!!

Did you guys notice that virtually every time we put Kelly in we run!! Do you think the competition knows, duh! I don't understand why we force Kelly into our offense on QB run plays - it is almost always a wasted play. We should move him WR Slot position so we can keep him on the field.
