Shame on you Coach Lewis. He obviously does not have our team ready to play with intensity and effort for a full half even. Whatever the message is he’s emphasizing, he needs to change it because it’s not working.

Funny. I was telling someone a couple weeks ago that - yeah, I think I will be coming to Muncie more often this year to basketball games because we actually have a team that might be good and we might be in the running to make the tourney for the first time in a long time.

I know it's a small sample size but this team looks worse than the 09-10 Ball State team(Taylor's 3rd season) and Whitfords 2015-16 team. I excused the Dayton loss because that would be a difficult game for any MAC team. Tonight is embarrassing.

Welp, I think this is the point where beet red Lewis kicks in and practice becomes much more difficult and playing time gets trimmed for several players. Individually we have some good talent. Good enough to be better than this, by far. For whatever reason they have no clue how to play together. think up to now Lewis has just been experimenting with different combinations to see what might work. Well nothing works and I bet the shit hits the fan. If there are some dudes that don’t like it they can leave. I really think Mild Mannered Mike has been embarrassed enough and the jacket is gonna come off. At least I hope so.
Doughty is a mystery. Still recovering from injury? Just flat ain’t good enough? Any sportswriter gonna ask about him?

Before tonight we were ranked 319 out of 364 D1 teams in FG%. Only going to get lower after tonight. Might need a Sherm watch on this like you did in the past with our KenPom strength of schedule, etc.

How many years does Lewis have on his contract? I think he signed a 6-year deal. This is year 3. Meaning he's got at least 2 more to figure it out. I said at the start of Lewis tenure that we should know what kind of coach we have by year 3. |
