With so many new players this year , not sure what effect this will have on Ball State ... they are moving the shot clock from 35 seconds to 30 ....

35 versus 30 seconds, should not make that big a difference. I doubt it changes much overall, maybe very slight increase in game pace.
This year we have two newcomers who are upperclassmen, physically mature and used to the speed of the college game. I'd have been more worried about an impact last year where we had less depth and more younger kids coming in forced to play more minutes at fast pace.
Barring injuries we should be deeper this year as well. We have our share of quick athletic guys this year, more back court depth, more wing players who can shoot, so maybe it's a good thing.
