Whew. By the hair of of their chinny chin chins. Hopefully they can have a good tourney Well, great pitching generally wins championships. Can't count on the offense carrying you over a stretch of games. Expectations are low, just happy to see them hold onto the West. You never know what may happen however, |

Maloney's pitching lineup this week was odd. Don't know if he was hampered by injury, or what. Pitched Burns in relief in 9th for two batters....what was that?

He clearly started Butler as a last gasp effort today. After the rough start it paid off. It kept uT from expanding their lead to impossible to overcome like happened the first two games. But yeah, the pitching is a mess. Does he go back to Marnon, or does he try Butler again in the tourney opener? (I'm afraid the kid's arm will fall off.)

Shocked that he lasted that long. Got stronger as he went. Rich may play with some things next week at UNI. I'd like to sweep them though, just because.

I would give Butler the MVP award for his pitching performance today. Butler was the hero of the day for winning the MAC West. However I hope we find the rest of the team pitchers are made the same way in the next two weeks.

Yep. Gutsy. He really stepped up.
Call is a freaking animal for the whole year. I think he has another year. I believe he graduated in 3 and will have another year of eligibility.

Call is expected to be drafted fairly high. He won't be back.

Rich stated in an interview the other day that the NIU series would be used for setting up the roster for the tournament. I would expect NIU to do the same so we are probably going to see some strange/different pitching scenarios
