We play 14-35 Butler at the Buttdog diamond. I'm sure we'll do pitch-by-committee and prep some guys for Saturday & Sunday NIU games. Over the past five seasons, Butler is 115-151-1 and has beaten Ball State the last 2 out of 3. Losses were in Indianapolis (Victory Field & Buttdog diamond). Who knows which face of "Sybil" will show up.

Stayton blasts a Grand Salami in the top of the 2nd. Cards up 6-0.
Eppers and Baisa had gotten by bunt singles. Butler "D" is weak.

Ball State wins 7-4 against a weak Butler program.
BSU gets 7 runs on 11 hits, which is decent, but Ks 9 times (3 looking) and left 8 men on base. Pitching gives up 15 hits and can only muster 3 Ks. No pitch by committee strategy, given that they took a 6 run lead in the 2nd inning. Cards only throw two pitchers.
On to Dekalb for three, next.
