I've asked Alan to delete my account. Apparently you can't do this yourself.
The extension makes it clearly evident that the University's goals and expectations for the basketball program are completely different from mine. Maybe I should have realized this the first time it happened (Buckley) or the second (Taylor)? I was blinded by my native optimism I guess.
The Sherman identity will now disappear back into the mists of time, from where it came.

"He was a slob. Did you ever see him eat? Starving children could fill their bellies on the food that ended up in his beard and on his clothes. Dogs would gather to watch him eat. I've never understood gluttony, but I hate it. I hated that about you. He enjoyed disgusting people, being disgusting, the thrill of offending people and making them uncomfortable. It was despicable. You will not be missed."
Anybody know the movie?

The General is starting a new life as a football fan. He'll come back as Patton.

To paraphraze, ''I will return''. Gen. Douglas MacArthur...I can see the general now, walking through the water puddles in front of Worthen, much like his triumphant return to Manila, striding down the ramp and up to the beach. Pants, wet to the knees, Ray-Ban aviators, and corn cob pipe entering the building to witness another thrilling MAC contest. The crowd of 750 faithful giving him a sitting ovation as he takes his seat in the upper deck, still asking the age old question, ''where is the big man they promised?''
