I was just curious if anyone knows the terms of his contract? I know most coaches/managers at BSU are offered 4-5 year contracts and Ice never heard about the contract Maloney is operating under.
Also, Im not suggesting nor is it realistic to suggest BSU should ax Maloney, we are a year removed from a fairly respectable MAC tourney showing, but if we were to plateau from this season or worse yet regress to a sub .500 MAC record in Call and Butlers upcoming Sr. Year, then I would endorse a managerial change.

Coach Maloney is one of the better coaches in the Midwest and is well respected. I do not think it would be wise.
We have some recruiting challenges. It's hard to bring kids to Muncie. Even though the ballpark renovation is a vast improvement, we still do not have quality facilities like IU, Purdue.

We nearly lost Maloney to the big 10 again just last year. The PU job is open and I can see him being a candidate for that one. Let's not be foolish in thinking about getting rid of Rich. We wouldn't get much better. We just don't have the resources and TRUE commitment.

I should reitierate the point of my message was not to suggest getting rid of Maloney,I think we will improve as long as we don't have any significant transfers, I was curious about his contract, or if he had been extended. I've never read any details about his contract at Ball St. MAC baseball news outside of here and maybe the Hustle Belt is not exactly plentiful.

The only plus I can see to getting rid of Maloney would be that maybe I could get his dog out of the neighborhood. That damn thing tries to eat my kids every time we walk by his house.lol

If you are a coach at BSU, you need a bigger meaner dog. Pit bull mastiff mix perhaps.
Forum posters/stalkers could show up at your house. At best they are looking for recruiting information, at worst they are there with pitchforks and torches after a long season.

Im not going to lie my vision is really blurry but I think 00mh just called me stalker. I will defend myself tomorrow when im sober. I will say Maloneys dog is a ruthless blood thirsty bitch. By the way if any of fools want to come swimming and drink some beers tomorrow send me a message and come on over. Kids are welcome and we will fire up the grill... Happy Memorial Day
