MAC football is currently a financial train wreck, and has been for quite some time. So if it becomes a somewhat worse train wreck, you tell me what entities or forces are going to prevent this, and why they haven't done anything already?

Ive given up hope of seeing the general at a ootball game I can verify that he has seen inside of the stadium one time. It might have been before the renovation but he has been there!

The main thing thing that will cause conferences to break is the gross inequity in how some conferences split their money & greed of the biggest members. The Big 12 is the prime example currently of greed with Texas & Oklahoma having their own tv networks the other members can never really compete. An AD at Florida or Alabama will realize they can make make more money by breaking away from the SEC. Then the SEC to keep from losing a power will break up their conference TV Network allowing members to write their own tickets. So at some point schools like IU , Wake , Vandy, & Rutgers will again be left to their own devises. IU has played P St on a neutral field rather than at home (DC area neutral?)& also used to infrequently take money from OSU & play the scheduled home game in Columbus because they needed the money. It will happen again. All ADs do not want to split money with other conference members.

Does the ROTC still set up a rope from the top of the stadium sometimes, so people can come and rappel down? I would come back to the stadium for that again. It was absolutely terrifying. They would set you up with a harness and all, then you clipped onto the rope dangling over the edge from pole, and at a certain point you had to let go and lean backwards over the edge and let the rope take your weight. Several people would get up there and just simply could NOT make themselves let go and lean back, so they had to ignominiously unhook and get back down. I snickered at them as I waited in line, but when it was my turn I stopped snickering, believe me. It's no joke to stand with your back to that drop off and your heels over the edge. But if you could get yourself to let go, you could stop and dangle like a spider in mid air. fun.
I also used to run the steps at the stadium. So, I don't want to hear that I've never seen the place.
