Frozen and I have run ins with yellow shirts the last couple years.. They do not want the kids playing on the hill. I get it if the hill is full but most of the time it is not. Too strict there.. The nice pathway Jackson mentions also pisses me off. They will not let you enter and go up the blachers. You must enter from the backside and go all the way down.. You like what I did there I traded some emails with Shawn Sullivan (Sean?) with the athletic department and he assured me that what happened with the yellow shirts shutting down people on the hill is not their intention and the hill is for that purpose of letting kids have fun as long as it doesn't put others in harm's way. I'm think I am sitting this next game out in protest so I would be interested to hear how it goes. And to answer the original OP, the last two tailgates have been poorly attended. Very poorly attended.

One of my staff at the office does it for extra cash and I know several other ladies who do as well. It sounds like an overzealous idiot who was on a power trip. I’ll share my cell with Rob. Our new AD would not be pleased with any of these reports.

The students are being allowed to re-enter. Just the students ? Because they enter with ID not ticket stub probably?

The hired DJ at the tailgate thing seemed to really come about the last 5 or so years, and I can tell you it was terrible. More than 1 occasion several tailgates would get overrun by mobs of people who were close to where the frat dj parties were. I am all for a good tailgate, but I think that should be somewhat contained to a particular area where you don't have a mini Zedd concert going on and can't talk to the person next to you. The grass lots got to be a big cluster anyway. Taking a long time to park, glass bottle rules, the DJs and jumping on car stuff. Those students were not making it into the game anyway, so I guess the University isn't missing out on much.

Because they enter with ID not ticket stub probably? Yes. Exactly. My kids laugh at me for being grounded to the stadium at halftime. I pay $1500 a year to park in the gold lot but I can't go out to my tailgate party at halftime. Guess how many crappy $7 beers I have purchased this year. ZERO.

I'm not sure how old everybody on the board is, but don't Indiana residents 60+ get cut-rate tuition? Maybe the better deal would be to drop your season tickets, sign up for a fall semester class (which you don't really have to attend) and use your student ID to get into football and basketball games. You'd get to get out to tailgate in the lot at football games and sit in the student section at basketball games (which appears to be significantly more fun than sitting in rest of the arena, especially if we're actually decent).
Or, if you're under 60 and tailgating at halftime in the lot is worth it to you, drop your season tickets, sign up for a class you might actually be interested in at the full price and enjoy the benefits of exiting and re-entering at your whim.
