It is time to give Paddock some playing time. If he is the QB of the future, and with Riley Neal out, we might as well see what he can do. It would at least give us fans something to look forward to in the remaining games.

Yeah, Plitt is definitely a backup. Time to give Paddock a shot.

I hope we do, I think he will struggle but it would be nice to see what he is or might become. O line might get him killed though

There will always be concern about injury. I don’t think Neu can let that factor into his decision to play Paddock. It may not be pretty, but our offense wasn’t pretty with Neal in there. I just can’t get excited with Plitt in there at QB.

There's your problem. You want excitement...

If playing Paddock will blow a redshirt year absolutely not. Throwing the kid into the fire at this point with a patched together offensive line will prove nothing. Let him prove in the spring under controlled play. This year is almost history. Don't play around with a player's health at this point. Put Plitt or Hank in.

The new rule is that you can play 4 games without losing your redshirt.

Watching our QBs run for their lives is exciting, but I don't like it.

You are suggesting we put Plitt or Hank’s health in jeopardy? Somebody has to play QB. Is our offensive line ever good? Play the kid.

Play anyone who can throw the football. I honestly don't care about a moving target and never ending hope for next year... blah blah bs. Tell neal to enjoy his vacation.

It was mentioned by some one earlier in a different thread that Neal was likely done. Ive also talked to a few people and although no one would say for sure it looks like it is a multiple week injury.. There would really be no reason to put him back out there. I also talked a little about paddock the consensus seems to be PLitt will start but Paddock appears to be in line for some action.. Nothing was said from anyone about Hughes. Probably not enough time to come up with enough plays that fit his skill set

Bummer news for Neal. I wish him well in his recovery from injury, but I agree that it is in his and the team’s best interest to not to rush him back. I expect that Plitt will start. I’m OK with that, but Paddock should at least get some playing time.
