So out of the blue it looks like UConn is rejoining the Big East, so is the MAC a likely destination for UConn football ?

Is there any reason to believe they would be any different than Massachusetts & Temple? I don't think so. Let them play as an independent or drop to the FCS.

Let 'em sign...15 years...if they exit before $5 million to each school in the Mac...that would tell you if they are serious

They will go independent with a guarantee of 4-5 Big East games before joining the MAC...

I’m not the biggest follower of college football but I do know the MAC is the toilet bowl of division I.
With that knowledge, why do these schools seek out this conference to stick their toe into fame and fortune? Is the MAC the only conference that let’s you have a temporary membership in a specific sport? Is our temporary member fee that much lower than anyone else? Does the prospect of midweek football present an attractive carrot that cannot be resisted?

Probably not going to add a school unless we can add 2, to keep the divisions balanced, unless the American takes Buffalo (kind of a long shot).
UConn, and UMass comes back?

UConn might also choose to deemphasize football and go back to being a basketball school. They’re basically admitting the investment in football was a big fail. And, I would hope the MAC would avoid again adding east coast mediocre football schools for football only. It does not help the Mac. Especially since we won’t get those schools on our basketball schedules regularly.

I don’t think we have a whole lot of room to talk about bottom feeders. Our program is BAD.
