Your theory is correct but when the guy getting the shots cant hit them that is a pointless plan. Whit has to adapt to what he has

.....and this astute analytical offering from a self-professed “football guy”!!! 👍👍👍. No wonder he is an eager snack donor and HOF Cardinal fan 🌭🌭🌭🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 I was pretty sober last night.. Football has not been going long enough to have me hitting the bottle.. Give me till week four of the season and I will be a blubbering Idiot again We all are confident on that point, and seem mostly to agree with your BB analysis on what we'd like to see from this trip.
I figure this kind of trip is of minimal value to predict anything about how we play, although we might learn a little about our newcomers and if we were there to see individual play and match up we'd know a lot more than the stat sheet shows. 4-5 games into the season, that will be much more important to look at.
Any positives about individual play seem to me more important than a rather predictable lack of cohesion and focus which is to be expected with a lot of new parts and not much practice. 3 games in 3 days with lots of distractions shouldn't be expected to lead to quickly corrected errors overnight, but the lesson is good information for the staff about what next steps are.

We only had seven turnovers... I would almost rather see more TO and know that was because we were pushing the ball and playing at a faster game pace.
What was good was that we pressured them enough to see 19 TO. They either couldn't shoot well outside themselves or we defended the 3 well, they shot 24% beyond the arc. And they didn't get many assisted baskets.
kid would know better how they were scoring but you are right that all those OR suggest they made a lot of baskets on individual effort on missed shots, and not as many from the offense.
The stat sheet is not in itself all bad, but it is hard to make much sense out of it without having seen more of the game and what kind of play produced it.

Im not trying to pump up Luke but we know he can flat out shoot and we need someone else in that dept He is a 5'11" kid who shot 40% in High School, he isn't the kind of guy you are going to restructure an offense around. Bumbalough is either going to sink or swim as a point guard or situational shooter.

Having watched Luke two games I’d tend to agree with Sweep! It’s a faster game than HS and we’ll see if he can make the transition.
Frankly, thus far both Hendricks and Kroft are transitioning faster, but in may be easier to do so given their role not completely sure

When Mallers, Teague and Gunn are going a combined 2-16 from three

Posting the box and vid recap here for reference... I’m I’m a stat guy, but who is recording playing time down to the second? Do players wear rfid chips when they check in and out?

There will be several games where he doesn't even play, especially if Kroft develops.

If he cant do it then he becomes a kid who comes in shoot threes. If thats the case then Whit needs to figure out a way to make it happen.

BSU won again tonight against a tough Ottawa team 70-61!
Ish had about 12, Mallers 11, and Teague 10! These are estimates.
