BTW, the letter was a good letter.
Whitford we all have agreed has to do more to communicate with public. Step in right direction on that count.

You'll never guess who posted this 9/6/18:
"I'm going to make a point that some will disagree with but I've seen teams in the last 18 years that aren't in my view as good as our second five:
PG Ish
SG Nehls
3 Gunn
4 Hazen
5 Huggins
Plus potentially Acree, Thompson, and Coleman
Very deep.....9 for sure."

Man, just can’t tell, Sherm. But the verbiage seems so familiar. Gotta be fake though. I mean, who would post something so obviously ridiculous?

I’m sold, we’re winning the MAC! Yeah because "The second and third were both against the University of Ottawa. Ottawa, in particular, gave us a very difficult test. They are well-coached and have a long tradition of winning within Canada."........................Yeah they finished sixth in their league last year.

Just for fun Reality Check, who are the starting five first regular season game:
I think Thompson pg, KJ 2, Mallers 3, Hazen 4, Teague 5.
I believe El Amin plays significant minutes as 6th man.
Your five?

Your five? Teague at the five would be a waste, he'll start at the four. They will probably start Hazen at a wing and go without a post. The problem however is that line-up doesn't have a consistent scorer and will have issues on defense. We sure as hell are not going to improve our shooting with that rotation.

On offense, I am not so worried about 1-2-3-4-5, we don't need to go by the numbers. On D, we aren't playing in the B10, we can handle MAC front courts, and worst case we just have to make it up elsewhere.
I don't like kid's starters because we need another outside shooter on the floor. Ish and Josh suit me better to start. More than size, we need the bench to provide some shooting when we sit Ish and Mallers. Either that or we have to be very good on defense and force the pace like we have not seen.

Agree with Sweep as this five may play without a true post!

Agree with Sweep as this five may play without a true post! Yeah, Huggie and Hendricks may change all that, at some point, but these are 3 front court guys who have been in the wars. Given their talents they should start, and by preference we are going to be aggressive on D, not playing behind the post and relying on one guy to guard a good post man.
But it will be huge we find some shooting to prevent packed defenses, and can force the pace to make the most of our long lean front court players. If so, a big strong post man will have trouble running the floor or matching up with our front court at the other end even if he has an advantage on offense.
