If he is a good teacher then his students are all special needs students and I do not think that is the situation. Players tend to do what the coach tells them to do. He may be a good man but he is a poor head coach. On the words of Bill Parcells, ''You are what your record says you are.''

David75, the key phrase in your post above is, if they are coached. I am convinced Whit is not a coach. He is not a teacher. He was quoted saying you can't teach shooting! He said his motion offense was hard for the players to get a grasp on? Whit is what I call a cheerleader. He says, let's play defense, we have got to make those eighteen foot jumpers, blah blah blah. He doesn't instruct on HOW to do what he wants done. Coaching is preparing a team for a game by instruction. IMHO he does none of that. These young men should be told not only what to do but HOW TO DO IT! That is coaching. Coaching is not walking in front of the bench the entire contest and pleading to the players on the court to do things you have not covered in practice and/or drills. He may be a nice guy. He may treat his son well. He might even be a good assistant...BUT...it seems to me that he is a prime example of the Peter Principle. He had risen to his level of incompetence. I think Whitford is a pretty good instructor We are in the bottom 10% in turnovers almost every season. He isn't a good instructor of anything.
