Central is going to lose so there’s that.

I look forward to the rematch with Ohio in the MAC Championship when the weather doesn’t decide the game.

I do find the “out of the mud” ironic as it felt like we were stuck in the mud most of this game.

Mike was pretty succinct— OU Handled it better than we did and did their thing and we just didn’t play well enough. I don’t quite understand our lack of aggression in the first half. Can’t tip toe and beat a good team. Not saying we should have called a bunch of post routes, but cmon, play how you play. My wife says we played not to lose from the beginning of the game.

I didn't think Ohio was good, but I think this is only exposing us to people who weren't playing close attention. You are kidding, right! They outplayed us. We were out coached. They played a good game. We didn’t. Period. Huh?

My biggest question is why we don’t use Dunner more on offense. He has touched the ball 3 times over the past 2 games for nearly 150 yards. In a game where the passing game isn’t working maybe try to get him involved?
This game sucked, but last year we were getting beat by 30 points regularly. I still have confidence they can get to 6 wins. I know many are jumping off the bandwagon after one bad game, but I’m sticking around. WMU is probably better than Ohio, but I think it is a better matchup for us. The Qb option killed us today, but WMU doesn’t have a running QB. We will need to play much better to have a chance.

Yes! I’ve wanted more Dunner all season. Just one carry today, for 36. So don’t use him more, right coach? I don’t understand that. If Huntley is out awhile move Dunner back to RB. Or at least give him several carries.
Not off the bandwagon, just back on the reality wagon. We aren’t quite there yet. If we were we’d have played better today. We are definitely closer. Not writing off the rest of this season but next year we should be really good. So many young guys playing.

I do not think we are beating WMU up there. The rest are winnable. But mostly about 50-50 shots.
An unspectacular, but also unexpectedly good 6 wins still pretty good odds. Injury report on Huntley will move the odds up or down a little.

My delayed reaction minus emotions, I hope. We got beat. No big deal. With a team still learning that will happen. Learn from your defeats. Too many caught the fever and got overly optimistic. At the beginning of the season how many of us would have been happy as pigs in sh*t with this record at this point of the schedule??? Answer: Every last one of us. We need to improve and learn and we will be just fine. Forget this game and concentrate for the final part of the schedule. We will win more before the season ends.

I just don't feel like we learned anything new about ourselves today. If we play a decent opponent who plays well, we lose. I believe we could lose out. I also believe we could win out. The MAC is a crapshoot and nobody is consistent. We just have to hope we don't get anyone’s best game, and we have to avoid shooting ourselves in the foot.

We cant beat a decent team that plays well unless we play off the charts. We’re not good enough yet. If a good team doesn’t play well we have a chance. If a poor team plays well and we don’t we have a good chance of losing to them. Playing sloppy and undisciplined and not tackling well gets us beat every time. So basically to get to 6 wins we’re going to need a team to not play it’s best while we play a clean game with an aggressive offense.

Just dried out from the game. The weather definitely sucked, but really OU just beat the crap out of us at the line of scrimmage.
Our rushing game sucked. Fletcher had 3 big runs on our first TD drive and the bigger one later. Dunner had his one run. Other than that we gained something like 75 yards on 30 carries. Yeah, 4 yards is a good football play; 2.5 yards is a shitty football play and that's what we had most of the day.
And Plitt did not have a great day, but he also got no help from his coaches, O-line or receivers. He had 11 rushes and other than maybe a few sneaks on short yardage that meant he had 9 "oh shit I've got no time to throw" rushes.
Rourke should thank us for his 100+ rushing game because we certainly handed it to him. Every time he took off on an option we looked like a basketball team blocking out before the shot even goes up, just clearing the lane for the guy with the ball.
I'm curious enough that I'd like to see us again against Ohio on a clear day, but if they handle us at the line like they did today, we'll lose again.

I’d honestly rather not face them again because they’d just embarrass us again. We don’t coach or play well vs that scheme. We don’t do physical very well.
