An article about Purdue mentioned two kids who might redshirt and how painter couldn’t play them at all If he was going to redshirt them.

I could be wrong, but if this 4 game rule applied to basketball, I think you would have heard a whole lot more about it in the press. As it is, all the articles I can find only refer to football. And if it did apply for basketball, I would think it would be more than just 4 games. 4 games in football is approximately 33% of the entire annual schedule. An equivalent amount for basketball would be more like 10 or 12 games.

Yep PU announced 2 kids will redshirt. They did not play last night do there is no new rule for b-ball.

The citation I used was clearly wrong and only applies to football and yes, basketball currently doesn't have that type of redshirt rule. Seems like a wasted year for Hendriks and Kroft; can't see the minutes being available to justify burning a year of eligibility.
