Ah. So I see that my scenario doesn't apply to basketball as CBB has already incurred the bulk of their costs but lost out on their big money maker. Bad timing, that. But BSU football, on the other hand.... NCAA money goes to whole department. Total revenue drops everyone is cut.

RMC...let me be clear. In my eyes Majerus and Hunsaker were the best coaches BSU has ever had. They were very very good How would you know anyway....way before your time. I am not comparing Whitford to them at all. I posted last night about the struggles since then. Do not like it or promote it but there are alot of things that have gone against us. It's a shame the season was cut short ....your call for his firing could have been appropriate if we lost right away in MAC tourney. I would have accepted that. Then again, maybe we would have made the Big Dance. We won't ever know. Check out the financial structure of BSU football and basketball. With the Covid-19 implications also, there is no way we could afford to fire a coach right now and pay two coaches simultaneously. Just not gonna happen. Dominant center is defined is a 18 and 12 guy that affects things in the paint and you can build your defense around. While before my time that is very is to see.. No one will ever question that statement. I agree Whit came in with stuff to fix but I watch coaches turn programs around in 3 to 4 years and championships. It happens all the time. Basketball is not football you can flip a basketball team in one-two seasons. We are however many years in now and whits best results are mediocre at best.. Lets also not put words in my mouth.. No where did I call for whit to be fired. I said based on this year whit did not deserve to be fired. I then said had Beth decided to fire Whit I would have understood based on his body of work. I never said Fire whit. I am well aware of our financial situation probably more aware than 90% of our posters and I agree financials would have stopped any move this year An 18-12 Center Well that would be something and I hope with all my existence that happens. I have said all along and will say it again. When its extension time which is likely after next season. I do not think Whit should be extended again based on what he has done up to this point. I do not think we are trending up I think we are staying right around the middle. If Whit gets us to a Mac championship or maybe even a close semi finals loss. I would agree with you guys and say that is for at least one year trending up and would be ok with a 2 year extension. I cant make it any clearer than that

How sad is it that we would consider a close lose in a Mac tourney semifinal game as extension worthy. And I don’t mean you in particular Rob.

I should say that I have NO inside information, but I have a really strong feeling that this mystery center we're getting is Dikembe Mutombo.

Exactly my point my expectations are really not high at all.. I hated the last extension and the length of it. So far it does not appear to have been worth it. Any one wanna argue it was?

We’d could have had Harnisch as our QB, but Stan couldn’t take him. Didn’t have room. Had a guy named Nate Davis already.
