At this point PG (or his agent, whoever leaked the info that he will sign with the Lakers in 2018) really screwed the Pacers front office with their pants on. What can the Pacers reasonably expect to get for their star player now that his intentions have been made crystal clear?

I think the Lakers will move on it. They can sit and wait for him in 2018 which is still taking a chance because he could be rented by someone for a year and like it there and possibly stay.
I think the Pacers will get some players and the Lakers 28th pick.

I believe the PG camp did it on purpose as a way to to tell L.A. don't give up anything to get me, I am coming!

That's the rational thing to do. If the Lakers are your future team, you don't want them to give up any more resources than necessary. I would have done the same thing.

Rational is to raise your value. Best thing for him is to go Cavs make it a bidding war next year. Hold LA feet to fire.
He may want to make it easy for Cavs, but not LA. They will pay whatever he asks.

It just leaves pacers with no leverage.

I just want the Pacers to somehow get the first round pick of a team that stinks. I honestly think it would be more fun to root against that team all next season than watching any Pacers games for awhile. It's a completely new and intriguing element in sports fandom when you're a fan of a team that's become boring and stale in a league that's become boring and stale.

They can go nowhere longer term except to trade him for what they can get. They are not poised to win a bidding war, or to create a winner this year.
There are several good teams that might want to make that last step up and could add him for a great season next year and might think they can keep him by winning big and making him like that, instead of moving to LA after the season.
Pacers only plus is that there are several teams that might do that, and they can get something instead of nothing for him.

A horrible team would not want to give up a lottery pick for one year of Paul George.

My best uneducated guess is PG ends up in Cleveland (possibly for Love) then PG & James go to LA in 2018...and not necessarily to the Lakers. Clippers intend to take a huge run at LeBron next year, and with the prospect of a brand new arena, and an owner who isn't crazy, it might be an enticing offer.

A lot of trades discussed. Looks like a good draft, salary cap, and free agents coming up like PG and LeBron are creating an interesting week.
That and the Warriors dominating shaking up NBA.

I think taking Love for PG is a bad move unless they can flip him for draft picks. It makes them slightly worse but still good enough to contend for a low seed in the playoffs which they've been doing for a couple of years anyway. You either get better or get worse, not stay the same.
Blow it all up baby.

No matter what happens, watching an NBA game still sucks.

No matter what happens, watching an NBA game still sucks. Except sometimes in the playoffs or when Golden State comes to town.
