Totally irrelevant beyond something to argue about... but Lunardi now has us as his MAC rep. At a #13 seed vs. Florida. I know that Florida is beatable!

For what it is worth. (not much) 20 win season projected here.Narrowly. Also at 15% probability to go to the NCAA. Which I think accurately reflects the mess of a conference tourney and uncertainty of winning it. The top 4 teams together are barely favored over the rest of the field... By this simulation methodology, a 12 win MAC season would win regular season MAC, I think that would mean an NIT berth.

You are sharp as a tack as always.

"The NIT features a 32-team field chosen right after the NCAA chooses the 68 teams in its tournament. It awards automatic bids to regular season conference champions who do not otherwise go to the NCAA tournament. Also, the first 4 teams out of the NCAA tournament become automatic 1 seeds in the NIT." bracketmatrix.com/nit.html"Another post-season college basketball tournament, the NIT, includes the best teams that were left out of the NCAA Tournament. Since the 2005 purchase of the NIT by the NCAA, automatic bids are now awarded to all regular season conference champions who did not win their conference tournament and did not get an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_bidYou are sitting in front of a computer, maybe next time try Google................

With the top 50 or so maybe getting NCAA bids of some kind, and then the conference champs who really don't belong, and only 32 spots in the NIT...I'd say without that loophole we'd need to close strong, lose in the final game of the tourney maybe, and be in the top 100 to have any chance. Probably top 90. Maybe halftime can google the answer for us, reviewing the rules and past history.

Just win the MAC tournament I’m sure it’s their only goal and it’s the only sure way they get in post season play. End of discussion! Only thing that matters period.

I think this site updates itself with new data as the season moves along. projected 2-2 in first 4 conference games and 13-5 in conference

See very bottom of the games listed. We are favored in 13 games, but by small enough margin that if you do the simulation run many times, it is 12 games won, 6 lost on average. 20-11, 11-7 here. Must be a very small differences somewhere in conference ratings of some of the teams?

It would be nice to finally beat Akron and Kent state, we have stunk against those two teams the past years...
