Splitting these 4 would be a good result.
Next 3 are very close. Toss up games each, at best.

If you want teams in the MAC to fear us we gotta win 3. This is the stuff ya gotta do if ya wanna be a champion.

If you want teams in the MAC to fear us we gotta win 3. This is the stuff ya gotta do if ya wanna be a champion. I think our schedule at the end will be a place where we can rack up some wins and close strong, not sure we can run out early and be front runners. This is not an easy schedule. This start is tough, and the next stretch has plenty of challenges on the road. Any other team looking at this schedule will have plenty to fear if we win 2 of 4. This first win was very big on that count. If we avoid the losses on home court to teams like BG last year, that is huge. Buffalo is a team we can't be surprised, if they come in and win. But, it sure looks so far like we are much better in that respect of holding home court. And tough as it is to win, we will have good chances in our tough games on the road. What the MAC will fear from us whatever our record early is going to be that we stay in games doggedly, and they just can't be sure of a home court advantage against a pretty experienced team that has played tough games on the road.

We must defend our home court. We have to keep our goals high and MEET THEM. I refuse to accept anything less. I know what I write means absolutely nothing but if you do not aim high you will finish short of what you really want. I want the MAC to fear coming into Worthen. I want the MAC to fear the Cardinals coming into their place. If we can't win on the road we will not win the MAC tournament. Quite frankly I did not expect to be writing something like this this season. I did not see this coach and these players to be in this position...but we are and I am surprised and enthused. Let's not be afraid to succeed. Let's play to win.

We're not a lot different than I expected. Still think we are a year away, especially from being a "feared" dominant team. Add some athleticism and depth, and we might then aspire to being "feared" more.
Let's just play one at a time, try to win every one. A chance to win the MAC regular season, a real threat in the tourney, those are pretty high goals.
We can be very happy with the team that scraps and fights and wins some they should not. With the lack of size and strength, and without real athletic dominance either, I don't see us as being feared. Except. Every opposing team, home and away, can be expected to be under pressure to produce a good game, since we could be a very determined group that they know will show up and be in the game. That's more than enough fear for me this year. Way more than we have been in a long time.

If you lower expectations, expect lower results.
You wouldn't give a student an A if he did B work, and all you expected was C work.

I expect to win every game left on the schedule.....before you say crazy, which maybe it is...I believe I said either 23-8 or 24-8 which some thought overthetop before the season...I'll hold to what I projected!!!

Based on where we are now and the talent level of the team, winning our regular season in conference and fighting for a MAC tourney win and the NCAA is a VERY high goal. Wishing for dominance and fear is something else, and maybe I don't give a rat's ass about it to start with. Just want the team to play up to its potential. Take their best shot at every game. Be proud of that if they can do it.

OK. Crazy. And, you need to work on your math, that would be 27-4... But, I am with you on the wishing side...

Yes...your right, but I'm truly thinking we will not drop more than 5 conferences games and if we hold serve on all but 4 my exact record of only losing 8 would be perfect...just really wishing we’ll win all, which I do actually expect but understand that we will likely drop a few...

We are looking at another CIT bid. That's the reality of the situation unless something happens to Buffadump and turdledo in the tourney and we catch fire.

Buffadump and Turdledo? I'll give you some credit for trying, but that just shows how badly we miss Longwood on the schedule.
