Not my favorite player, but we needed him so much...I am not happy. Man he got every chance in the world in the end smoking weed was more important than playing basketball. Just stupid selfish and waste of a ton of god given talent

Just to be fair, no one knows what he was dismissed for. He was on a last chance policy so could have been grades, skipping class, missing an assignment or yes maybe drug-related. Doesn’t really matter at this point but everyone assumes it is one thing and may be something entirely else. I too hope he can graduate and get his life together. He’s always been polite and he would not have been given multiple chances if he wasn’t worth saving. 22 year olds make bad decisions. Doesn’t mean they’re bad people.

I find it interesting that there's been some talk about other MAC taking "questionable" players that we cannot or will not take. Yet, we're the ones who are losing players to legal and various other matters.
Could it be that taking some of those other schools' "questionable" players would improve our image, not to mention our basketball team.

22 year olds make bad decisions. Doesn’t mean they’re bad people. How many bad decisions do you allow? Plenty of generally nice people in this world whose bad decisions got them in a heap of trouble, landed them in places they don't want to be. I would worry a lot about Jeremie once he no longer has whatever structure the basketball program has provided for him.

I know what he was dismissed for and while Cardfan is likely right on point I will say as he jabbed me for saying Tyler is fundamentally a good kid I’m going to simply say because someone may have an addiction problem DOES NOT MAKE THEM a bad person. As I said, he is fundamentally a good kid...does not mean I condone his actions.
But surely to god, don’t make the kid out to not be fundamentally not good just because he has a problem

I think what Kid is trying to say is that he is very polite, a kid who would help an older person with their groceries and one who won’t bash his girlfriends head into the pavement. But, he broke the rules, not once, not twice but 3 times and that is inexcusable. Nice kid or not, he needs to find help on his own now which is a shame.

He probably is a very nice kid. But it appears it needs some help. I think bsu tried.

One toke over the line.
Whitford's permissive atmosphere contributed to Walker's problem. By letting Tyler skate, he opened the door.
About damn time Whitford took a stand, but I have to wonder how much the administration forced his hand.

Just yesterday ( out of curiosity) I googled the name of a knucklehead Ball State Athlete (football) I lived in the dorm with. He is currently serving a a 250 month sentence for cocaine distribution.

Reality is right on the mark!
I agree with Tyler’s permanent dismissal but it does not mean he is not a pretty good Kid?!
I mean how one could disagree with this is beyond me.
I guess some people simply want to see the worst in people.
