My point stands. You should have a kinder and gentler heart!

This is a 22 year old adult who was handed a silver platter, took a dump on it, and sold it to smoke weed. So I can safely assume you also wouldn't hire Tyler ?

Guys Im not often one to suggest shutting anything down but this is getting out of hand. If we want to discuss Whitfords discipline tactics thats cool but Tyler is gone and he is not coming back. We should probably just leave it at that.

most of us who frequent this forum, including me, are more likely perfectionists. we want perfect seasons, perfect players, perfect plays, coach etc. unfortunately, the world we live in is far from being perfect. i would like to thank Jeremy for his contributions to Ball State and wish him well in his future. i don't know his backround or history, but if he is like most black inner city kids, i'd say he did his best with what he had.

The problem is this will continue to happen until Shitbird adopts an adult way of handling malcontents and screw-ups.

I like to know who you thought was out of hand? Sure not me for suggesting the kid might be good fundamentally at heart?

I guess we just see what the future holds and see if more problems arise. I do not like whats a going on either. I do not know if backgrounds are being checked as they should have been or not. If its a case a kids just going rouge then there is not much you can do to prevent that. If shit just keeps popping up then Whit needs to either fix it or figure out a different option when selecting kids

No one in particular just reading over this and some other threads some if us have said some things we probably should not have. I know I did and I just think its all been said now. Not sure if we need to just keep killing the kid. Its over for him and I think we should just leave it that.

Halftime, doing weed and prison are truly a world a part....you truly are delusional. Did you take Psych 100 at BSU?

You can't tell if someone is a good person by spending a few minutes with them. We all know plenty of shitheads who seemed okay at first. I know people whom I consider friends, but wouldn't hire or invite into my closer life at gunpoint.

Ok fair enough, but did you ever think a few of us may either know him or no information about him?
My point has always been simple, I don’t condone breaking team rules but from what I know he’s a pretty good kid. I wish him well.

If shit just keeps popping up then Whit needs to either fix it or figure out a different option when selecting kids That sounds like an adult thing to say. I am not worried too much that we need to change much. Maybe took one too many chances on Tyler but facts here seem to indicate Tyler was a good kid in HS. I doubt there was a way to predict this result at recruitment, not a case where we took a big risk then. We check kids out thoroughly enough, and I support taking some risks. Sometimes we do know there are risks and do take them on. That's not it here. Do we have any evidence at all of malcontent in Tyler. No. Sure, he screwed up. Not the same thing at all. And damned if parents and teachers and coaches sometime make mistakes giving second chances to those who after all are not adults yet. It's a risk. 20-20 hindsight is great, but taking risks and sometimes losing is what an adult often has to do.
