Ok but neither of our losses was our best player. Neither was 6’9 averaging 14pts 9 rebounds. And we’ve had several games to adjust, bg did not. And still almost beat us. On our floor.

Give BG some credit. Certainly for their effort. And they had a good plan when they got the lead. They played smart. Made it hard for us to generate much with them keeping control of the ball in long possessions. And we did not defend the way we needed to defend. Criticism for being flat on both ends, not responding with real fire until the second half. We started out hitting the basket, scoring almost too easily. 16-8 6 minutes in. When we cooled off and when they got into it, we did not respond. Looking back at it, we substituted fairly early and the lineup that lost the lead just didn't play well. I understand having to give Gunn and Ish time on the court, but it went South. On us and the starters then when we never really got back in synch.

Card fan don’t you think we suffer with the loss of 2 players who were very instrumental in our success? Take away around 15 points 3 rebounds and assists and their defense along with experience is a big hit. Seems people point out the opponents loss of a player but forget ours. Losing JT took away a lot of our previous potential strength when we went to the bench. Can't really replace that. Walker more important than we probably thought, and a huge problem was the timing with Walker, no clue, already having to make adjustments for Tyler. Hard to respond to that change, and then we were on the road, harder to make adjustments and reorganize with travel. We'll make some improvements as we adjust, but we have lost too much to be as good a team as we could have been at the end of the season.

My 2 cents; I would like to see us run more plays that are focused around getting Mallers good shots...especially 3 pointers. He is doing all the small things right now (rebounding, etc) but I don't feel like he gets enough shots in the game to truly warm up, especially from 3pt range. Secondly, I know that fans worry that Persons at times does not share the ball enough; but I think we need to push him to be very aggressive offensively at the START of games. More times than not, the rest of the team seems to follow Person's lead when it comes to aggressive play and that may help early in games. Just a thought...

How many times has anyone seen a Whit coached team play any number of games in a single season with REAL INTENSITY? Remember the lack of intensity with Taylor? Very similar. It is the coach's job in college to inspire his team. Professional athletes are completely different.

Something always comes along to trip up our championship dreams......almost every year. Drat, the luck! Every year? Anyone dreaming of a championship over the last 15 years or so, until perhaps this year, didn't need much bad luck to trip up their dreams. A little bit of dreaming was in order this year, but every year? The fact is we have not been in the top half of the MAC in so long, that when we have some signs of life, we dream bigger dreams. We have had rotten luck, but then after all, dreams rarely come true.

Their big guy was still on the team. Totally different from an indefinite suspension and one player down the memory whole. The Cards started with 11 players to suit up in early August, with Huggins going to RS and Walton sitting out as a transfer. Hollywood passed away, Walker earns a starting role, was suspended the day of the game against Buffalo and had spent the night in jail. He was likely one of the Cards roommates. Tyler kicked off the team the day of the home game with the Zips.
Wiggins will likely play in one of the upcoming games. Tyler never will. Walker, probably not. It sometimes comes down to the numbers. The Cards just don't have the bodies to play as they did 2 months ago.
Go Cards!

Ok. We were severely disadvantaged vs Bg yet pulled out a miracle win. Them missing their 6’9 stud for the first time actually made them a better team. Beating Toledo the way we did on the road with the roadkill we have left on the roster had to be divine intervention.

Would someone please explain red-shirting a guy who will never be anymore than five fouls to put in a game ? What's the point of having him chew-up a roster spot for five years ? It's just another example of terrible scholarship and roster management.

Ball State was his only D1 offer. How good do YOU think he is. Now answer the question, does red-shirting him make practical sense or not ? If so explain why and cool it with the histrionics.

Reports are he's improving, a good defender and rebounder at the least. Most guys his size on MAC rosters are not sure things. Are all those coaches guilty of "terrible" judgment?

Based on if our future recruiting is anything other than awful we will recruit over him multiple times. If not we will be winning 10 games a year. "Are all those coaches guilty of "terrible" judgment?" Were all those kids red-shirted, the answer of course is no, so what is your point ? Once again try and stay on topic, I know it's hard for your addled brain.

Halftime as usual you know nothing but negative! Are you a teenage big mouth. First you said Moses was no good then it was Teague then Maller, Gunn, El Amin and Huggins. I’m pretty sure you are a little Troll. Once again STFU!
