I have been tough on Trey a lot, but last night wasn't a pus outing. It was a different game when he was out there last night. Just baffling that he wasn't out there the whole stretch run. WMU capitalized big time. MAC officials have always been meh. Good teams make an adjustment to how the game is being called. We didn't adjust down the stretch. WMU smelled blood when we just couldn't react or move to shooters. My worry is our depth. We looked tanked most of the second half...especially position 1-3. Like I said above, we need some help from others if we hold that #3 spot.

There was a point in the first half where Sellers had just made a couple threes and then he was on the bench for what seemed like 10 minutes.. I just do not get some of the moves

I may be the only poster on this board not unhappy with not playing Kiapway last night. One has to earn playing time, and apparently Kiapway has not done that. He has had a poor senior year in the games he has played. I thought he would have a solid season as he had played well the past couple of seasons, but he showed very little in most games this year.
I doubt if Whitford played Caleb Mallory last year on senior night. He, too, had been in the program for four years.
There was a huge difference in the Jeremiah Davis deal. Davis was applying for an extra year of eligibility which he was granted and then transferred. It was not known at the time whether he would return, so he not honored. The photo on the BSU official website shows Kiapway with Sellers and their framed jerseys, so he was honored for his contributions to the program. But he had not earned PT. Sad.
Go Cards!

Beg to differ. Mallory was a walk-on originally. Kip was recruited by Whit and was there throughout with good scoring until this season. It is painfully obvious we are physically spent and short on experience at guard. Fresh legs and experience are gold this time of year. Baffling that he is not playing. Looked good and loose in both warm-ups.

Looked good and loose in both warm-ups. He was not hitting pregame Tuesday but he was loose and appeared happy. Yea he has sucked but he filled in at point some last year. I cant help but think even if he is not shooting it well he could give us some quality minutes. The moment would not be to big for him I think we forget the kid hit some huge late threes for us the last couple years. Whit has allowed and wants Teague to shoot threes even when shooting 9%. You cant tell me Kiapway would not somehow break out for at least a couple if he were getting 6-8 shots a game. Something else has to be going on

Kiapway should have played some as a scholarship sr in 1st half & in 2nd because he had fresh legs & we had a number of tired players. Hawkins always recruits big guys. His teams usually have 3 players 6'8" 235 - 7' 260. He recruits the best players he can get in that size range. He also says he figures they will play little for up to 2 yrs. He is thinking long range & he does like to play rough under the basket. No doubt he thinks big guys win underneath.

Its not like we have another guard coming off the bench who is just playing lights out. Thompson is s good defender but not a real offensive threat. Ish has shown a little but he is a freshman and it shows. Gunn while not a guard has had one good game in the last 15 and is totally lost on D

RF Sorry but that is just 💩. Mallory was a walk on practice guy and Kiapway is the third ALL TIME three point made in BSU HISTORY. I agree he has struggled this year but that is just a pathetic way to treat a senior who has given four years to the program. By the way, 85 starts over his career too. Instead we play an inexperienced and overmatched freshman and a walk on the entire game. I love both those guys but Kip could’ve helped us and flat out deserved to start his last home game and end his career with some dignity. You know me RF and my history with this program and I’m telling you it’s flat out bush league and classless.

Did I hear the TV announcer correctly...Western's bench out scored our bench something like 38 to 6? Are you yanking me?!? News flash... we no longer have much of a bench... thats what happens when you only have two true Freshmen and a walkon left. Can’t expect to lose three scholarship players (and technically should be 4 with how bad francis has played) through a season. Help is coming next year

I have thought about that and if he was sulking around then I might agree. His body language pregame etc just does not make it look like that is the case. Maybe it is though no way for me to able to tell that

Maybe it is though no way for me to able to tell that solid point, haven’t paid attention to him pregame. Has anybody paid attention to Huggins dunking before the game? the kid can throw it down

Maybe it is though no way for me to able to tell that I would have a hard time believing he checked out. I watched him in the tunnel with his teammates and looked plenty happy to be there and he looked that way during second half warm ups.

You know I might be a petty person but if all of a sudden Whit calls my number I might look at him and tell him to F off

Told you guys a turd was coming just hate it happened at home on senior night in front of a big crowd. Oh well hope it grounds us and causes us to refocus Saved a dollar weenie for the post game celebration. It kind of resembles the outcome of the game. Went to Indy Fuel hockey game last night. It was 317 night -- $3 PBRs/ $1 hot dogs / $7 T-shirts. Their $1 dogs were half the size of those. I shoulda went to Muncie, but $3 beers would've been missed.
