Really good showing in Dayton. 2-1 over the weekend but loads of promise for the season. Dayton was the only loss and they are top 50 i believe but they took them to overtime in 2 of the 4 sets. Team depth was evident in my opinion. One might say that Dayton is young but Dayton fans in the stands were surprised by our Lady Cards. South Alabama was no slouch and BSU won that match 3-2. Marshall was not as easy a three setter as one might expect but the Cards stayed steady. Overall really optimistic about our chances going forward. It will be a good test at Missouri State this weekend and then the Active Ankle Challenge is really competitive coming up. No rest for the Cards but the ladies are up for it. Chirps!

2-1 at the Missouri State Tournament. Cards were runners up to MSU. Won against a struggling Grambling State program in 3 and beat Oral Roberts 3-1 in a competitive match. In the finale the Cards couldn't keep pace with a strong Missouri State team with an All American libero in the back court that kept the Cards at a season low hitting %. They seemingly got every ball up in play and the home court was a HUGE advantage - say no more. The Cards have to regroup and prepare to defend home court for the first time this season with some stiff competition coming to Muncie. Looking forward to the ladies putting it together for a marquee win this weekend!

Quick question-what happened to Brooklyn Goodsel-she is no longer on the roster?

NOTE: The 2017 season was her final season with the program.
So either she ended her volleyball career (perhaps due to injuries) or transferred.

Cards playing some tough pre conference opponents and ready for the real test to come. 4-0 this past week finally getting over the IUPUI curse and then going 3-0 this past weekend. Looking good Cardinals. Western Michigan will again be a tough match and then going into NIU's home court. Don't think that either will be an easy road to tops in the West. Western has outperformed expectations and NIU never lays down for the Cards. Expect down to the wire excitement in both these matches. BSU is up to the task with Meg playing lights out and Ellie and Sydnee attacking. Reece and Emily providing needed scoring from the pins as well. This is a fun group of ladies to watch. Go Cards!!

Won at Western against a really good team and then lost to NIU. UGH. Came out kinda flat and NIU took full advantage. BSU made too many errors to stay in contention. NIU is better than their record but happy that they don't have to play at Victor E Court again. Gotta regroup and get ready for EMU and then CMU this week. We will see how the ladies respond.

The VolleyCards are sitting at 16-5 overall, and 7-1 in the MAC, in 1st place in the West. Our only loss has been to 2nd place NIU.
They have a tough three match run coming up versus Miami, BG & NIU. Miami and BG are tied for 1st in the East at 7-1. We need both of those matches, plus some payback on NIU.

Cards have been playing lights out. I think they have won 15/16 SETS! It's been really fun watching MACtion unfold. cardfan12 is spot on that these next three matches are pivotal. I put in my ten bucks to watch tomorrow night's match. Highlight of the season so far is the sweep of players of the week last week with Offensive, Defensive and Setter of the week in the west. Amber has been awarded West Setter of the Week three weeks running!! They ought to start awarding Team of the Week in addition to the individual awards and the Cards would have been in the running over the past three weeks.

This has the feel of a team that goes 12-4 or 13-3 in the MAC, gets a high seed and favorable tourney path and proceeds to drop the first tourney game to a team it already beat twice. Hope I'm wrong.

Sorry man but it’s the bsu script. Has to be followed. I think we have a contract with the Mac to bow out quickly in every sport’s conference tourney.

OK I know I had to eat crow last season with the MAC tournament showing by the Cards. I know it was per script as cardfan painfully points out but I have to go on record early to say I don't believe it this year. Plenty of time to tell me i'm unrealistic come mid-November. I am calling it now that Ball State is a touch away from pulling it off this year. Went into Miami of Ohio and took them to overtime in the 5th this weekend. A call here or there or a play made was the difference. Then went and swept Bowling Green on their court the very next night. It's a different vibe this year. They know they can play anybody in the gym as long as they hang together and stay calm. You can tell from my ID that i am a homer but i have been at most matches and have seen what this team can do.

Wish the tourney were at a neutral location, not Miami.

Wish the tourney were at a neutral location, not Miami. Miami is a tough place to play. It's hard to get good depth perception on that court.
