What brands do they carry? draught or cans? cost? I thought I saw someone carrying a can of something I did not recognize but I could be wrong. The beer is sold in the southwest corner and northeast corner from what I could tell and the P.A. guy said it was 'delicious' Coors Light. I really wanted one but the lines detoured me. They weren't miles long but long enough I wasn't going to wait. Someone said they waited 15 minutes for their beer so you best get 2.

They had Miller, bud,Coors and angry orchard. It was canned beer they poured into a plastic cup. They had 2 people pouring beers in the cups and one person taking money. The lines were long I got in line 10 minutes before kick off and got to my seat halfway through the first. Took about 20 minutes. They could have sold much more beer but they were unprepared. When it was my turn they had change lol.

And having a perky beautiful designated driver to scrape you off the hill, count the kids and herd the family to the car to drive home. That was genius.

Here is my solution to BeerGate...
Use the area behind the student section to make the Cardinal Beer Garden.. Line up some tents BSU has hundreds of them.. Get a decent amount of workers filling the cups and more than 2 cashiers ringing up sales.. Beers ended up costing 5 dollars and some change after charging tax round that up to 6 bucks.. Cashiers digging up loose change just takes to long..
Add some screens around so people can keep up with the game..
I know there needs to be electricity out there but thats an easy fix.. A carnival can be set up in a parking lot so a beer garden can be made at the stadium
If people just mill there so be it they are in the stadium and spending money

[soapbox]Why no local beers? Would it kill them to find a local canned beer (say... Sun King?) or at least a regional craft option? Why pour from can to cup? Afraid ppl will throw the cans? If they are going to fill cups, why not cut their expense and time and have kegs instead? Better yet, cut a lot of time and get a Bottom's Up... [/soapbox]

Here is the problem I think BSU catering is doing the beer.. So I think they are running under a catering license instead of a full fledged liqour license.. There might be some kind of rule against serving draft beers

I'm sure the problem is the "trial" nature of the offering.
But the problem here is the line, a much smaller issue is the choice of beer.
Put one brand there and make that line jump and I'd be happy enough. I like Rob's idea about handling the student issues, but we need beer in the West stands and to not miss so much of the game. TV above the concession windows under the stands is an extension of his idea.
We need to take this beer problem up with the AD immediately, or perhaps at a higher level. What brand does Rick Hall drink?

What brand does Rick Hall drink? Funny you should say that because I reached out to our new Ad.. Nothing will come if it but I will say she immediately responded to me and asked some other questions related to the gameday experience. I like that she even took the time to respond

What brand does Rick Hall drink? Yes I forgot that beer would still be needed on the west side as well.. Still an easy fix.. We say easy and blame it on the trial but we also know the consession horrors of basketball and the same issues remain year after year

The other Idea is go really big and redneck... You want the Muncie community Ill give you the Muncie community.. Bring in a beer company Bud/miller what ever.. Use more of the grass field and gate it all in.. Bring in the Bud trucks with the taps on the sides.. Put up large screens and create the Cardinal Outfield.. It opens 2 hours before the game and shuts down start of the fourth.. 30 dollar wristbands plus cost of game ticket.. 40 Bucks all you can drink.. Turn it into an Indy 500 infield feel.. The locals will show by the thousands
