ive watched him in warmups two games now. He is a big body and moves pretty well. Not sure why we do not use him for 5 fouls and some rebounds I agree. If he has big hidden flaw, other than no experience against good competition, that's a cure...size we'll need sometimes.

I agree we are not " real manly " inside but are team is the most athletic in years...got to push it!
But, we can run the break, slash better, and our defense has improved some.

Did not get to pay attention to much of the game, but final score was nice and encouraged by comments here.
Hope the good stuff continues at Purdue ... whether we win or not.
Even if we don't beat Purdue, it would be great if the ISU game was the start of a season sweep of other in-state teams. Be nice to establish BSU as the best of that second tier of Indiana schools. Two in a row over ISU is nice.
Go Cards!

Forgot I had this just warm up video but a couple things stand out.. Persons can dunk pretty easily now. He could not last and year and for those interested in Huggins you can see him move a bit in the vid.. His stupid ass man bun can also be seen.. Twitter only lets me do 45 seconds I have the same video with another minute or so of warm ups on facebook. If you want to see more just friend me on there

Haircuts, facial hair always a part of player eval. The guy is just gonna make it hard on us to think he's a player.
But, I've always liked his physical ability and active play.

You make this sound like 1965. Not quite. But I get your point. There is some more recent history here of evaluating players/recruits by facial hair and we have had a few odd haircuts in recent years.
I'll be happy to immediately discount the hair factor as soon as we see a longer stint on the court for Huggins. Until then his warmup video and haircut are all most observers have to go on on the forum nobody wants to believe he has much potential.
I think they under rate him on that basis since I have seen him in practice show some decent play for a kid without much basketball experience and not much HS competition. More athleticism than many guys his size, but not a player yet.

What I noticed off your video is that we made only one shot that wasn't a dunk and even missed a couple of those!

Someone explain He will not play well behind the post. Can defend 3 or 4 positions well, did well on perimeter ISU.

Another thing I noticed during the Indiana State game.. Nehls(sp) is not going to help much unless he is wide open.. He is a spot up shooter like cemented in the ground spot up.. His best use would be for late game free throws

We haven't had a decent shooter for decades. Remember the old coach Abe Lemon said,''There is really only one play and that is put the ball in the basket.''

Nehls needs 5 feet of space to get a shot off. And won’t be able to guard anyone.
