Notable stats from their game with Fairfield:
Edwards has 30 points on 10-17 and 7-11 from 3 & 3-3 FT. 28 minutes.
Cline 13 points; 5-10 and 3-6 from 3pt and had 8 assist in 29 minutes.
Eiffert 9 points and 10 boards in 28 minutes.
Haarms 9 points and 8 boards 3 blks and 4 fls in 17 minutes.
Bodreaux and Hunter had 10 points a piece in 18 minutes.
Purdue made 14 3's in 30 chances and was 32-59 from the field. They out rebounded Fairfield 40-25.
Have to stop Edwards from penetrating and dishing to open men. Allow him to shoot the 25 foot jumper as he tends to fall in love with the long jumper. You have to give up something as I believe he is more dangerous when he penetrates. Cant leave shooters on dribble penetration. Have to be disciplined and to freaking block out. When you help is when you are vulnerable to offensive boards. Have to keep guys in front of us and we have to attack Harms and their big people. Harms will foul so we have to attack him and their guards. Purdue likes to play tight man to man so we have to win taking the ball off the dribble under control. Walton and Person should do well against them and Hazen and Teague have to be active. If we attack and shoot it well, we have a chance. If we pound the ball out front and are forced to take tough shots at the end of the shot clock, we will get run out of the gym. Defensive rebounding and keeping Purdue in front of us has to be a priority.
