Love that they are playing good competition and I can take losses like that. That said, they have made Haarms and Blackshear look like All-Americans. (they are interior players by the way if you wonder where I am going with that). We need to counter that by getting more tall guys who can shoot from the perimeter.

We will be a good mac team.. Is that enough People complained about the competition we played last year, this year we have REALLY UPPED the competition. Losing by nine to two Top 25 teams isn’t all bad. The players competed and never gave up. Keep it up and we are looking at a good year. By seasons end, we could be a special team. Here’s the thing though, both of those games were not only 9 point loses in reality. In both games we were down by double digits, 15 at Purdue, and we hit some uncontested 3’s with the clock winding down that made the score look closer than it really was. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy that the score shows them as only a 9 point loss but honestly it wasn’t that close in both games. We should win a fair share of games this year but we’re not beating any top 25 teams right now.

Right now next year looks to be a return to the bottom half of the MAC. Too many holes that existing guys don't seem anywhere close to filling. Exactly. Whit says the incoming class is one of his best. Really?

We do have some guys coming in but again we will be counting on totally unproven assets

I know a message board is never going to be happy after a loss, but if you would've told me a 15+pt win over ISU and single digit losses to 2 ranked teams away from home, I'd have taken that easily before the season.
You can view both of those PU/VT games half full or half empty. Seeing "we didn't compete" and frustrations with those games...we led Purdue early in the 2nd half, and were within 5 of VT midway through the 2nd half. There have been bad runs in both - but we're a MAC program playing top 25 teams in the country. That's to be expected. The fact that BSU has competed enough to make PU and VT work hard and closed losing by single digits - there's a lot more positive than negative in those games to me.

Yes, no reason to celebrate our way to early for being gloomy. Ridiculous to say bottom of MAC.

I think some of us are just concerned about the lack of contributions from so many guys, and seeing the usual suspects shrink vs physical teams. Yes it’s early and plenty will evolve and we have such high expectations for this team but only Tayler and one other guy really do anything. Nothing from Moses and Hazen and not nearly enough from Teague. Walton is gonna be all over the map. That’s just him. The bench provided nothing.
We just need more from the rest of the guys so teams can’t go on insurmountable runs against us. We’ll be good in the MAC but it’s time to be better than good.
Maybe we break out vs Alabama.

I tried my best guys!
Here’s my 2nd row assessment:
Persons and Mallers only big contributors
Need Moses to find his legs...he’s not dominant but can give us more! Dr cleared him fully this week!
Teague must give us even more for us to have a chance in the MAC.
Hazen just finding himself may contribute more by MAC time.
I thought Whit killed us with the 5 he put on the floor with 3:30 to go in the first half...went from even to down like 10!
Stop the Tide

Yea I do not think anyone really expected us to win either of these.. I think we are just discussing problems we have seen that will stop us from beating one of these teams or even a team like Buffallo. There is no shame in losing these first two. We showed at points we could play with them but depth at critical positions and people not contributing doomed us. Some of these problems will fix themselves when we go up against more teams like us. Some thought we might be more but we are just not there at this time.. We could get there if we can change some things lets hope we can
