How much are we making from Vanderbilt, James Madison, Purdue, Auburn, UConn (it's a home/home wash), IU & Liberty (a home/home wash)? IU and Purdue have traditionally been very small payouts due to the distance. I'm sure Auburn is a $1.5m deal. Vanderbilt was a last minute change to fill a void, so I doubt it pays out like other SEC schools. JMU was a change to fill a void, and they are Sun Bekt, so not a great payout.

We make significant money net on the road OOC.
My point was we don't make much on home games. Low revenue. Low attendance and low priced tickets. Maybe a million in total, including in conference and OOC home games. Minus what we have to pay for several thousand unused seats each conference game from our athletic budget to satisfy the MAC attendance requirement. You can quibble about how to allocate MAC TV revenue to home games, compared to the loss of a couple of Saturday afternoon dates at home.
Game day has modest expense, but modest revenue from concessions.

You cut a home game making next to nothing, how much do you have to make? Auburn, Vandy much more profit. JMU, more on the road than a game you have to pay opponent to come to Muncie. Assuming you have cut the least desirable home opponent, especially.

Looks like IU has bought out the 2026 game in 2026 for $350k, and will now be hosting BSU in 2029 with a $1.3m payout. This will help BSU to get an additional OOC home game in 2026 and get to six home games on the schedule.

Seasons 2024, 2025 & 2026 will still only feature 5 home games and 7 away games.

The Northwestern game will be in their new LEED gold stadium. Small for Big10 standards (35K), but state of the art and NFL style bucket seats.
