I agree if Tribble is a class of 2019, then it's a waste. Any chance cardsfan606 mis-identified him and it actually was someone else? That's the trouble with Tribble

We definitely are soft inside. Moses can't seem to finish the short ones and gets stripped often. I do not know if he needs more touches or what the deal is but he has not been good at all this year.. well he had on good half

Finally got to watch the game last night and was disappointed in the play. No killer instinct. Mosses, I like him, but man he doesn’t finish the play. Dissaponted in the play of Ish, Gunn, and Hazen. What about Coleman and Huggins. Play was inconsistent. I feel we could have, should have won by 20+. Thought I’d feel good about the win, but I wasn’t. Extremely disappointed by the play of so many of the players. Player of the game - KJ, but even he disappeared in the second half. The way they stopped us under the basket was hard to watch. Random thoughts, but it’s early and I need my cup of coffee real bad.

Better than last year, not as much better as we can be.
Everybody notices 3 or 4 players who just haven't got going.
Some may just be that, individual things. Some has to be how they fit together, how scheme is working when we go to the bench especially.
Staff usually has a hard time putting in changes until they have some games under everybody's belt to see what is working, not working. Semester break coming, no classes. Some of that means players get home, but we'll have some time to make changes and some chance to let players work on individual goals.
A few cupcakes coming up here, maybe some PT will help those who haven't found their way.

Nothing too wrong with yuk wins early. Provide opportunities for the staff and team to work on. Key is to actually keep improving.

Really, how so.......................? Most agree. There has been a lot of discussion on the relative strengths and weaknesses of the team compared to last year.
Sagarin, other power ratings have been higher, Massey Composite higher, etc.
Why do you think not?

Our overall current index composite is a 125 compared to a 137 this time last season. If you want to call that better go right ahead. I'd label the start of this season same old thing all over again.

A 10% improvement in virtually anything is generally seen as good, right?

I took a different view from what seems to be the consensus. I wasn't blown away by our performance but we totally controlled the game. I didn't care much when we closed to 9 pts vs. Purdue or V Tech at the very end and I don't care much that Evansville closed to 10 against us.
Moses was still soft. I'm still waiting for Hazen to show me something. Gunn is still totally lost. Etc. Etc.
But we controlled the game and won convincingly. That's all I care about.

I agree Jackson Street but Hazen does seem to rebound!
