This all falls on the feet of Whitford. I know that I have said this but it is worth mentioning again is the fact that in the non conference part of the schedule, teams rarely spend a lot of time on scouting. They will look at some tape and maybe send someone to watch but the preparation is totally different. The conference season is totally different. Your weaknesses get exploited and it is the teams that adjust are typically the ones that come out on top. No adjustments were made last night in the second half. Miami's pressure took away the 3 line and because of their quickness, we were unable to beat them off the dribble. In that case, your have to have floor spacing to create back cuts and room to move. You also have to feed the post to create room for your shooters and we did none of that. You would have been better off playing with one big, Teague and putting him on the block with 4 shooters to create space for him inside and to take away help. Again, we saw none of that as we continued to try to get run outs against a quicker team. Really inexcusable for a Division 1 coach and program. We played right into Miami's hands. Whitford is not going anywhere folks and my patience for this program is almost gone. The days I used to look forward to watching BSU play does not exist anymore. It is really fu**ing sad.

The 3 point shooting pcts posted by sweep are going to get worse because the starters are tired & they will shoot more of them as they become more desperate. Toledo game was their peak. I also feel some of the underclassmen on this team will transfer at the end of the season. My fear is this, Teague uses the grad transfer rule and leaves for a situation that will better showcase his skill set. Thompson, who will likely enter next season a our #1 point, gets frustrated with Whitford not extending a scholarship and walks . We could be looking at a complete disaster next season. I fully expect Teague to leave at this point. Why wouldn't he? He's not being used.

Really no reason to post anymore. Just go back and read the EMU and Ohio threads. This team played with NO heart on its home floor against a crap opponent yet again. The effort, especially defensively, was pathetic. Thompson is the only kid on the team who consistently puts forth effort on the defensive end. We don't get the ball to Teague near enough. Our passing is terrible. We don't block out. Persons is spastic and selfish. This team, this coach, this program are dead in the water. I disagree on some of your points. I think we do play hard and with some heart most of the time but tend to play stupid when the pace quickens. To be clear, I believe there’s a difference between heart and toughness. We are not mentally tough, soft in fact, IMO. We are also clearly gassed at the end of the games now because the bench is so thin and gives us almost nothing. Mallers has also fallen off a cliff and our coach is floundering. My bigger issue with the team right now is we don’t value the basketball and constantly try to push pace. The last four games we have tallied 26 assists and 61 turnovers. So we are averaging 6 assists and 15 turnovers a game. Some of that is defensive pressure but most are just dumb unforced errors or bad passes and the lack of assists is appalling. We have zero margin for error and for the foreseeable future this season, if we don’t shoot well we will be marginal. Please allow me to define heart in the way that I typed that post: Giving up at least 10 wide open layups, Moses just standing there watching the big fella hoist the wide open threes (including the one at the buzzer before halftime), lazy passes on so many possessions, never blocking out, missing free throws, and coming up with a very small percentage of 50/50 balls. Whether it's heart, toughness, stupidity, or all of the above, this team is not good. I vehemently disagree that we play hard based on my observations above. I completely agree that we play stupid most of the time.

Check of other MAC team blogs leads me to find their are lots of unhappy fans. Coaches @ WMU (yea Hawkins),EMU,& Ohio are in same category as us with Whit the bloggers want them replaced asap.Note WMU still the same type of play last nite Josh Davis booted from game after 2 techs. Broncos lost after leading 15-1.WMU wants to pay off Hawk's contract with him working as a fund raiser.

Shermzilla, You clearly missed my subtle acknowledgement of your Beatles references by calling myself a Caveman. The classically horrible, Ringo movie with his gorgeous wife to be Barbara Bach. I’m smarter than the average bear...not much though. Must be all the marijuana, cocaine and moonshine whiskey I've been doing. No, No, No, No you can't (blank) no more....tired of waking up on the floor.

You take a chance on lack of HC experience and dance with it. If you hit the PowerBall, you get to try it again in 3-4 years.

The absence of regular poster has me concerned.. Maybe this last loss is to mind boggling for some to even wrap their mind around.

I think he's just still concocting his game plan to explain why everything that's been posted so far is wrong. And even though his arguments will be full of holes, his game plan will still be better than anything Whit has come up with recently.

I think you would find this in any conference, regardless of how much coaches are being paid.
