Ball State plays Thursday @ 6:00 pm. The likely opponent will be Kent State, if they win their Wednesday game vs. Ohio.
If Ohio wins, then we get the NIU/Miami winner.

That #1 seed was huge, as CMU will get a much weaker path (though I do think Miami is a sleeper in this tourney). Kent will be tough, but we will have Drey going against their #2 (unless they risk it and pitch their #2 against OU, which they very well may do).

With our record, hope that is "really want" not "need."

Kent (30-22) has gone 20-8 since they visited Muncie. Miami (also 36-17) just dropped 3 to CMU and has gone 16-12 over the same period.
Miami will be tough, but Kent is beginning to play much better. There may be a first day upset, but I doubt there will be two.

The top four seeds dominate the “conference only” hitting and pitching stats.
Kent State is by far the best hitting team, but trail the other three seeds in pitching.
If pitching wins championships......it will come down to Central, Miami and BSU.
Week long Coaching decisions will have a big impact with these teams being pretty evenly matched.

I'm definitely a temporary Ohio fan on Wednesday.

Simply put, the goal is to be playing 6:00 pm games every day.

6 pm vs. Huskies
Cards will most likely see Anderson on the mound. We saw him in our first game against NIU

Ok, Ohio takes Kent State. nIU takes Miami. Interesting start. To say the least. Of all the conference tournaments, baseball is definitely the most unpredictable.

Ok, Ohio takes Kent State. nIU takes Miami. Interesting start. Sounds like the Big10 Tournament yesterday. All lower seeds won. Big10 has #5,#6,#7 & #8 seeds in winners bracket, and #1, #2, #3, & #4 seeds in the losers bracket.
