The Luck departure seems to have hurt the defense and special teams more than the offense. Strange

Colts won’t sniff 10 wins this year if that shitshow is how they’re gonna play. They've either got to start getting pressure or start playing way more man to man. So far this season they've played zone on 70% of their defensive snaps, or third most in the league, and QBs are picking them apart with all day to throw. Either something changes or you're right, this is an average at best team.

Lose to the Raiders at home, beat the Chiefs on the road??? My terribly uninformed and uneducated opinion is that they beat the Chiefs on the road partly because of that loss to the Raiders where they simply were embarrassed in every phase. When that happens teams tend to react in one of two ways, rise to answer the call, like the Colts did, or become the Miami Dolphins. And I'm 100% expecting a letdown in 2 weeks against the Texans at home.

How bad is the officiating and the replay system?

How bad is the officiating and the replay system? I'm a big fan of our receiver getting called for PI for simply standing still and being grabbed by the defender! High quality officiating! The placement of the ball was suspect on many occasions, and I saw a few holds on the Chiefs that went un-flagged. On the other side of the coin, I did see a few Nelson holds and a couple other items that went uncalled in Indy's favor, so I can't complain about the officiating being one-sided, just the fact that it was overall shitty from whistle to whistle. Which I'm noticing has been a trend most of the season. The PI review is a fucking joke. They've overturned something like 7% of all PI reviews so far. ALSO! How in the actual fuck do they overturn that interception that bounced out of the Chiefs receiver's hands? There wasn't a single shot I saw that was "Clear and Obvious" showing it hit the turf. They're just out there making it up on the fly. Did it PROBABLY bounce off the turf? Yes. Was there any camera angle that showed it definitively bouncing off the green latex? Nope!

My previous post was nearing 00/Kid levels of ADHD subject hopping! It's early, I'm tired, and staring at my computer monitor is slowly driving me insane. Seventeen Schrute Bucks for anyone who manages to read and comprehend my previous post!

The whole officiating/replay thing is definitely detracting from the entertainment product of the NFL. This was also very true of the Dallas/GB game proceeding. The situation is out of hand and they really need to straighten it out. Way, way too much time and attention is focused on calls during these telecasts.
I'd rather live with the occasional blown call and keep the game moving rather then re-watch every close call a dozen times and have these lengthy delays. The TV networks need to participate in a solution because it's their product also.

The TV networks need to participate in a solution because it's their product also. I think on challenges, officials get 30 seconds to review the play and make a determination. If you can't make a ruling after 30 seconds then you don't have the information needed to overturn a call, and whatever was called on the field stands. TV loves challenges though, because it's basically a free commercial break. How many challenges during the SNF game this weekend did they stay on the field during the challenge? I think every single one of them went to a commercial break, which the networks love, so they don't want to see it change, not unless ratings start to seriously decline.
