Wow, dodged a bullet there. All I was thinking was Derrick Rose and his non-contact knee injury from a few years back.

I don't think anyone really gives a shit about the bet. We all just like screwing with kid and his eternal optimism. The only one who really cares about the bet is kid cause he knows we will give him hell. We are all hoping for more than 15 wins.

Valparaiso beat IU Kokomo by 38 points just recently. Our margin of victory may indicate how close the Valparaiso game will be. Evidently Valparaiso did not have a problem with scheduling them. By extrapolating out to the end of the game........BSU>Valpo

We need to play MUCH better on defense to have any kind of chance against Valpo. Gave up lots of easy buckets inside.

No one was expecting impressive this year. Just looking for a big step forward and a team that will be much more competitive.

Impressive in the context of the game. I saw two BSU games at home this week. This was probably more impressive than the first one I saw... I kinda enjoyed a boring win. Much better than a boring loss.

I saw a team getting beat inside by nobodies and giving up wide open perimeter shots. Our weak interior is concerning. You do realize we were playing an naia team that hasn't even beaten an naia team yet this year. I mean they are really really bad. We still appeared a step slow on d and only out rebounded them by 3. You really think we can play that way against Valpo and stay within 20? I do understand it's hard to bring intensity against an iu Kokomo. Valpo only gave up 40 to those guys while playing mostly bench players as starters. We gave up 54. (But we did score more than Valpo did). As we knew coming in, interior play and depth remain a problem. I'm just looking at the nuts and bolts guys and looking beyond the final score. I'm looking at context of the competition we played vs the competition we're about to play.
We'll find out a lot against Valpo. Valpo beat Oregon St at Oregon St yesterday. They've also beaten Iona and Rhode Island and played Oregon tough.

Line against Valpo should be +10-12....take the Cards...I'm hot right now don't bet against me. Just said we'd win tonight by 34!!
If we win straight up and we just might...the board will need to put earplugs on!!!
I agree with Cardfan that we may find out a lot about this group of Cards vs Valpo
