My personal goal for the Colts now is a top 5 pick. A tough, but achievable goal. Having 3 wins and a tie already is a serious handicap (putting them at 11 currently), but the current catastrophic franchise tailspin they are currently in gives hope.
Todays game is critical as the chance to hang a win on one of their draft position rivals is important, but continuing to rack up their own losses is even more important. Six of their rivals are playing against each other, so a loss would mean gaining (losing) ground on no less than 4 of the teams currently ahead of (behind) them. Indeed, with the Panthers having already won this week, and the Lions about to win...might we dare hope for something even higher than #5?

I am withholding judgement until next week's game against the Eagles, but yesterday was a completely different team than what we've seen all season.

I don't know what was different, other than having Taylor back and Ryan. The Colts beat a team with 2 wins and a ton of injuries, that seems about what would be expected.
The Eagles game will definitely show whether this will be the team that beat the Chiefs, or lost to Jacksonville.

The Eagles game will definitely show whether this will be the team that beat the Chiefs, or lost to Jacksonville. They've had Taylor for multiple games this season and haven't run that well. They've had Ryan for multiple games this season and haven't pass blocked that well. The O-line looked like a completely different unit. The offensive play calling was much improved. As I said though, I'm withholding judgement until they play a real team and not a 2-win team, but you can't look at that Raiders game and any of the games to start the season and say the didn't look different.

The whole thing needs to be dismantled from the Top down. Irsay needs to step away from daily leadership.

Watched a little of the Colts last night. Looks like Saturday is finally on board for playing for a high draft pick!!!! Ryan could get killed this year, that costs them extra...should play the backup more. Now that they really really really are out of the play off hunt it would be malpractice NOT to play someone other than Ryan. I know the locker room allegedly prefers Ryan but he just can't do it anymore, especially behind that god awful Oline. It wouldn't make sense to play Foles at this point. They know what he is. Plus, you don't really want to win now. The players do, but the organization would prefer a better draft slot at this point. So, you're left with Ehlinger. Just let him play, see what he can do. See if he can be your no. 2 for the future. Can't see him being THE guy. Gonna have to draft THE guy. If one is available when the Colts pick. I no longer trust Ballard. He burned through any capital he had left. And he's arrogant and defensive. He failed with only the most important positions in football-- QB, LT (well, whole oline it looks like now) and WR. Time for him to go. This team has seen enough. The 4th Qtr last night was a total shitshow. Embarrassing. Totally new direction needed.

That win against the Raiders really sucked. That was a big blow to the franchise. I pretty much tuned the Colts out after that.

Colts have 30 fumbles so far this season, through 13 games. Disgusting

Mayfield is now available. BAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA! It DOES appear that Carolina and Indianapolis are in a rapidly swirling spiral to see who can recycle the most deadbeat NFL quarterbacks in the shortest amount of time. Forever to be remembered as the LUCK Death Spiral

Mayfield is now available. BAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA! Just in time for the XFL. May be bumping Drew Plitt out of his slot on the Arlington Renegades.

For anyone thinking Andrew Luck will come out of retirement, this article is pretty definitive. Gives a lot of insight into why he retired. Really good read, and may be the reason behind the Colts' "Kicking the Stigma" campaign. link

Easy to understand the reaction to injury, desire to be a family man, and the attraction of grad school.
Don't quite get the ed degree and HS coaching career goal.
He has so many choices.
