Someone posted that the coach told him and another kid they would both be starting next year so they got mad and quit. Effectively blaming the coach. Then he ends up at an NAIA. Sounds like he doesn’t want to fight for his playing time, wants it promised to him. Probably why whit played him so much and why he left when Lewis came in. Entitled. So, let's assume for a moment that story is true. You would be fine with staying to "fight for your playing time" in a situation where the coach has already been dishonest with you and another player? “You can be the starting PG next year”. Can be interpreted differently right? If that story is at all true - any part of it - he bailed because he wasn’t promised a spot and didn’t want to fight to earn it. It tracks. He was celebrated, worshipped even in high school, and as soon as he had to earn a spot where he wasn’t the best player, he’s ran away time and again. Ultimately he’s wasted what could have been a decent D1 experience. His numbers this year weren’t bad, but dropping to NAIA tells me he can only play where he isn’t pushed. |

My guess is that going to an NAIA had to do with the NCAA not granting him a waiver to play next year. I'll bet he transfers again next season. He is using IWU to be able to play next season.
I agree that he’s wasted what could have been a decent D1 experience and that he wants a guarantee of playing time. I think we heard something similar here. He doesn't want anything to do with earning a spot. My guess is Michael Lewis doesn't have time for that attitude in a player.

The instances of "running away" were leaving Stetson to come here, which if internet rumors are to be believed had at least something to do with being close to his girlfriend. Leaving here following a coaching change to GO BACK to Stetson. And then leaving Stetson, if internet rumors are believed to be true, following the perception that his coach was being deceptive. If he was running away every time he was pushed, why would he go back to Stetson? There are also alternative explanations just as plausible for each move. I'm not a Luke Brown fan. I know very little about him and don't really care to learn. But it seems like anyone can find just about anything they want in him. To some he's a coddled baby who can't handle challenges and to others he's a humble superman. |

Setting up a tripod in an aisle of the CVS and recording a dance? Just seems weird. Lady, I just need to buy some Crest...
