No to Grunk. Nice guy but he was an assistant to Whit for 7 years. Get someone from a successful program, not from a coaching genius of Whitford. Also played for him...

Despite the significant disparity in emphasis on basketball between BSU and the top programs in the MAC, Please give some facts or some sort of evidence of this "significant disparity" Otherwise maybe STFU.

I want to know why he thinks the conference is so much more competitive than any other D1 conference? If anything, the number of consistently bad teams in the MAC makes being around .500 probably one of the easier propositions in D1

I’m an outsider and have zero insight into things but from my vantage point Beth is really good at her job. To me, we aren’t going to get the bigger, exceptional athletes, even comparable to Akron or Kent. Too many want to go with the NBA style 3 ball, surely because that’s what kids now want to play. My guess is we can’t recruit kids who hits 3s at a decent enough clip to justify the style. I say we get kids who run & jump / press. Pitino style. Norm Held style. Relentless pressure. We get kids who play hard and play better than their size, we will both win and put people in seats. What I call classic college basketball. Thought Luke Brown is a 3pt shooter.

If anything, the number of consistently bad teams in the MAC makes being around .500 probably one of the easier propositions in D1 Most the conferences competitive at their level. I referred to the difficulty of starting out with a lower athletic budget than the top programs in our conference. In any conference that's a disadvantage. The other ADs and coaches are not idiots. At least no more so than ours have historically been.

Despite the significant disparity in emphasis on basketball between BSU and the top programs in the MAC, Please give some facts or some sort of evidence of this "significant disparity" Look at staff salary for top programs. And look at how squeezed we are compared to others trying to support FB. We are managed rather well overall, we compete well in the programs where funding is similar.(non revenue sports) But, if your premise is money doesn't count, you'll never see my point.

Sure, I'll look at it. Let's see it. I mean...I'm sure you have it because you're continually yammering on about it...right?

Starpress guy says bsu job is in the lower level of the MAC and not as attractive as fans think. How far we have fallen. When Buckley was hired Andy Katz called us the top mid major job in the country.
