One thing that's been consistent with everything Lewis has said and everything the players have said is he has expectations of greatness and he wants his players to expect to be great. Whit, he never talked that way and his players didn't. It was just "play the right way" and "that's ok, it happens." Nothing about expecting greatness and coaching players toward that mindset. And right away Lewis is telling Sellers he needs him to be a floor leader. Setting expectations.

One thing that had stood out for with with Lewis is that just about anything you see him out at a function like this he has on Ball State gear. He’s not afraid, or embarrassed, to fly the colors and does so confidently at that! I don’t recall Whit ever doing this, he’ll I don’t recall Whit even going to events like this for that matter!

Whitford was just about never seen in public. He certain didn't hobnob with big time coaches like Lewis has been doing. Lewis is out there and visible and yes, always in BSU gear. He made several trips to the bookstore to get gear. |
