On the bright side, at least Coach Lewis had our defense moving its feet. That's a plus over the past couple of years. I hope this translates into better defensive movement in real games. Player movement. What a novel idea. Agreed. Last year 300th in defensive efficiency. Wow. They called us a basketball team

I fully expect that Coach Lewis and his staff will unleash the hounds on defense, or at least try the concept. Certainly more than we have seen the past decade. It is a low threshold for improvement no doubt. I often wonder why we don't see more teams trying the "forty minutes of hell" that Nolan Richardson perfected. He later said that the players of that time would not commit to the level of conditioning that was required. Perhaps. Sitting on the cusp of history, we soon will forever close the Whit era. The suspense is terrifying, I hope it will last... Has anyone seen a line on the Earlham game? Maybe a good time to load up.
