I remember when I was in school the University was doing everything in its power to stop students from drinking. How times have changed. You must have missed where the promotion says to “enjoy responsibly.” |

Well I watched one night as the campus police poured a case of beer that they found in our car in a street drain in front of the Ball State University sign on McKinley. I have in the past poured my last tailgate beer down that drain to memorialize that sad occasion.

True. But it is a novelty and that might work to get an unexpected response.
I am all for a small mess if we open the door for some new student interest, but I have seen beer promotions go wrong, and selfishly like short lines for beer, and not to run out. Please. This is not Nickel Beer night at Cleveland Stadium in the '70s. Reel it in. You are right. Still we may need to factor in that Calhoun was not around in the 70's in Cleveland and the Stadium was not 5 minutes from college dorms with free admission. |

Beth told me straight to my face is if it were entirely up to her she would get rid of tailgating. She was not a fan of drinking and partying. This promo would not have happened under her watch. I can tell you Lewis had to fight for this

Even considering the opposition, you have to like the offense continuing to be aggressive to get to the basket. We may not see 60+FG% but it's going to mean drawing fouls.

Came to see what people thought, saw we were wringing our hands about 1 free beer per kid, remembered there are Muncie people here and chuckled. Espn3 working great for me. Team is 100% more fun to watch already. Bright future.
